This handy tea timer is very easy to use thanks to the well-thought-out design: The four most important brewing times (3 – 4 – 5 – 6 minutes) for tea are pre-set and printed on the sides of the cube. Simply put the tea bag or loose tea infuser in the teapot or teacup, select the desired time on the tea timer, turn the desired time side up and the timer starts immediately. The small display flips and shows the remaining time. The red LED light pulsates.

When the selected brewing time is reached, the LED light flashes, and a beep reminds you to end the brewing process. simply turn the tea timer to the neutral side to stop the alarm. Until then, the tea lover will be shown the elapsed time. Now you can sit down and enjoy your perfectly made tea!

Depending on the use and your personal preferences for a hot drink, the tea timer offers many setting options: The alarm tone can be set loud or quiet, kept on or switched off completely. The LED light on the timer can also be switched off. A pre-alarm is also available and can be set to ring 10 seconds before the time is up.

The exact brewing time depends on the type of tea and leaf size. For example, if black tea is brewed only briefly, it has a stimulating effect – similar to coffee. The longer black tea brews, the more calming it is. Green tea is said to have an anti-inflammatory effect with a longer brewing time.

Although the exact brewing time depends ultimately on your personal preferences, there are general recommendations on which the pre-set brewing times of our tea timer are based:

3 minutes: green tea, black tea – stimulating
4 minutes: Green tea – strong, black tea
5 minutes: Rooibos tea, black tea – not stimulating
6 minutes: fruit tea, herbal tea
